This aids to maintain proper boost pressure in the manifold of your street and race engines. The Granatelli Piston Actuated Wastegate offers far better control over traditional diaphragm style wastegates by utilizing a traditional valve and stem like you would find in a cylinder head with a heat impervious slip seal.  This allows for greater piston movement and therefore better valve control than a diaphragm.
