Twin Turbo Kits for Chevrolet Corvette (1997–2008)
Granatelli Motorsports has a few turbo kits out right now that will turn your modern-day muscle car into a street terror. The twin turbo system that they make for the Corvette can be used on years 1997-2004 and 2005-2008 with versatility for all motor choices within those years. These kits include twin 76mm T3/T4 housing Turbonetics turbos, Tial wastegates, OEM quality cast iron turbo manifolds, stainless steel exhaust components with high flow cats, aluminized tubing from turbo to intercooler and intercooler to throttle body, a large front mount intercooler, and everything else needed to complete the install. Twin turbo kits for the Corvettes are capable of 1000 hp at 22 psi; however, after 8 psi, additional engine modifications are recommended.
5th Generation Camaro Twin Turbo Kit Features
Granatelli Motorsports also makes a kit for the 5th-generation Camaro, which is actually a really sleek kit. It is the only kit on the market for the 5th-generation Camaro where the turbos don’t hang down below the frame rail to ensure plenty of ground clearance. This kit consists of PTE 6265 turbochargers, PTE 46mm wastegates, which include adjustable springs, stainless steel exhaust components, aluminum intercooler and intercooler piping, all necessary vacuum ports to install the boost controller, K&N filters with “Hydro Shields” for maximum dirt and water protection, and a bunch of other goodies necessary to complete the install.
These kits are great because the turbos are mounted under the car, leaving the engine bay looking virtually stock – true sleeper kits. With the right mechanical knowledge, these kits are a breeze to install. Everything will fit perfectly, just as advertised – no unnecessary trips to the auto parts store or any unnecessary fabrication.
