Granatelli Dual 2.5" Vacuum/Pressure-Controlled Exhaust Cutout Kit – Stainless Steel Weld-In
SKU: 309625K
Open or close your exhaust from anywhere in the cab with the Granatelli 309625K vacuum/pressure-controlled exhaust cutout kit. A wireless remote signals the vacuum control box, and the included vacuum pump drives two cutouts open or closed. Because the kit supplies its own vacuum, it doesn't depend on engine vacuum, so it works the same on boosted engines and big-cam builds. This dual kit includes a cutout for each side of a true dual exhaust.
Key Features
- Wireless remote control: Open or close the cutout from the driver's seat.
- Included vacuum pump: No engine vacuum required, so performance doesn't change with boost or cam choice.
- Vacuum control box, lines and fittings: Everything needed to plumb the system is in the kit.
- CNC-machined 6061 aluminum body: With a stainless steel butterfly plate and shaft.
- Polished 45° turndown with 360° V-band clamp: Rotate the exit to clear lines, the floor and tires.
- Weld-in installation: Welds into your exhaust for a permanent, leak-free joint.

Sizing & Fitment
Measure the outside diameter of your exhaust pipe at the mounting point. If it measures 2.5", this kit is the right match. This dual kit is for true dual exhaust systems, one cutout per side. Single exhaust? Choose the single 309625 kit. Can't weld? The 309525K slip-fit version installs with clamps.
Where to Mount It
Mount the cutout at least 18 to 24 inches after the catalytic converters, and away from any O2 sensor. Aim the turndown toward the rocker panel, away from fuel and brake lines. For the best sound, mount it after the X-pipe or H-pipe. Route the vacuum lines away from the exhaust so heat can't damage them.
Legal Note
Many states, including California, prohibit exhaust cutouts on vehicles driven on public roads. Keep the cutout closed on the street and open it only at sanctioned off-highway events. Never install a cutout upstream of a catalytic converter.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is it controlled?
With a wireless remote that operates the vacuum control box, so you can open or close the cutout from the driver's seat.
Does it need engine vacuum?
No. The kit includes its own vacuum pump, so it works the same on boosted, big-cam and low-vacuum engines.
Vacuum or electric: which should I choose?
Both open and close from the cab. The vacuum kit uses a wireless remote and its own pump; the electric kit uses a motor on the cutout and a one-touch rocker switch. Compare the electric 307525K kit.
Can I install it myself?
Weld-in kits need welding equipment or a muffler shop. Prefer to clamp it on? The 309525K is a slip-fit version.
What's the warranty?
90 days, with optional 1-, 2- or 3-year extended coverage available at checkout.
Will it add horsepower?
Opening the cutout reduces backpressure. Gains depend on your engine, headers and tune.
