Collection: Performance Ignition Coil Packs

Granatelli Motor Sports performance coil packs are built for GM LS and LT engines, Ford 2.0L, 2.3L, 3.5L and 3.7L engines, 4.6L and 5.4L 2-valve and 3-valve V8s and 5.0L Coyote engines, and Dodge HEMI engines, with Jeep and Mazda Miata coils as well. Shop by make below, then choose the series that matches how hard you push the engine: OEM Series for a stock replacement, MPG/PLUS for fuel economy, Street Fighter for use with aftermarket ignitions such as MSD and Accel, Hot Street at 45kV, Pro Series at 60kV, and Pro Series Xtreme and Malevolent at up to 85kV for boost, nitrous and high compression. A worn coil shows up as misfires, rough idle, poor fuel economy or a stumble under load.

Coil Pack FAQ

Which coil pack series do I need?

Match the coil to the engine. A stock engine needs the OEM Series. Bolt-ons and a mild cam suit Hot Street. High compression and nitrous suit Pro Series. Boosted engines belong at the top: Pro Series Xtreme or Malevolent.

Will a higher-output coil add horsepower?

On a healthy stock engine, rarely. Where it helps is under boost, nitrous or high compression, when a weaker spark starts to misfire under load. Fixing that misfire feels like finding power.

What are the signs of a bad coil pack?

Misfires, a rough idle, poor fuel economy, a sudden loss of power, or a stumble at full throttle.

Should I replace my spark plug wires too?

If your engine uses wires and they have age on them, yes. A new coil feeding tired wires is a common way to spend money and feel nothing. Check the coil-on-plug connectors too, because a cracked connector causes misfires a new coil will not fix.
