Aluminum V-band flanges in 3.00, 3.50 and 4.00 inch. Aluminum is chosen for weight, and for joining to aluminum pipework where a steel flange would mean welding two different metals together.
These are not the choice for a joint sitting right behind a turbo or anywhere the exhaust is at its hottest — aluminum does not take sustained heat the way stainless does. Further down the system, where gas temperature has dropped, they do the job and save weight doing it.
If you are unsure whether aluminum suits where your joint sits, call the shop on 1-805-486-6644 and describe the system.
