The Granatelli 540203 50mm external turbo wastegate uses a piston-actuated boost-control design instead of a traditional diaphragm.

Built for demanding street, drag racing and performance diesel turbo systems, this 50mm piston wastegate combines strong exhaust bypass capacity, V-band installation and adjustable spring tuning in a durable mechanical package.

Why Piston Actuation?

Instead of using a flexible diaphragm, this piston wastegate uses mechanical piston actuation to regulate exhaust bypass flow. It gives turbo builders a different approach to external boost control for high-temperature and high-demand applications.
