Short answer: The best LS throttle body is the one sized to your intake manifold and your boost level, not the biggest one you can buy. Granatelli Motor Sports builds drive-by-wire LS throttle bodies from 103mm to 120mm. Each one plugs into the factory-style GM 6-pin connector and arrives as a complete assembly, so nothing moves over from your stock unit. On a stock-style LS3 intake or a boosted 6.2L, start with a 103mm. Step up to 105mm, 108mm, 112mm or 120mm when your manifold inlet and the rest of the combination can use the air.

Why LS Builders Choose Granatelli
- Five bore sizes from 103mm to 120mm, so you match the throttle body to the manifold instead of forcing a size.
- CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet bodies in natural, black or polished (103mm and 105mm), plus a cast 103mm (GMTBLS3M) for the budget-minded boosted build.
- Factory-style GM 6-pin drive-by-wire connector. Complete assembly, no parts to swap.
- Every size, billet or cast, is rated for up to 35 psi of boost.
- Matched to Granatelli ZILLA 105mm and 120mm LS intake manifolds.

LS Throttle Body FAQ
What is the best LS throttle body?
The one sized to your intake manifold opening, connector and boost level, not the biggest one available. On a stock-style LS3 intake or a boosted 6.2L, a 103mm drive-by-wire unit such as the Granatelli GMTBLS3B billet or GMTBLS3M cast is the usual pick. Step up to 105mm, 108mm, 112mm or 120mm when the manifold inlet and the rest of the combination can use the airflow.
What size throttle body should I run on an LS3?
Match it to your intake opening, bolt pattern, 6-pin connector and boost level. On a stock-style or boosted LS3 intake, the 103mm GMTBLS3M (cast) or GMTBLS3, GMTBLS3B and GMTBLS3P (billet) are listed for LS3. The 108mm GMTBLS108 and 112mm GMTBLS112B also list LS3 for engines that need more airflow.
Will a 105mm throttle body bolt onto a stock LS3 intake?
The 105mm GMTBLS105, GMTBLS105B and polished GMTBLS105P are made for 105mm-inlet manifolds such as the Granatelli ZILLA 105mm. On a stock-style LS3 intake, the 103mm units are the usual choice. Call 1-805-486-6644 with your intake if you are not sure.
Do Granatelli LS throttle bodies work with a cable throttle?
No. They are electronic drive-by-wire units with the factory-style GM 6-pin connector. An engine with a throttle cable or a different connector needs a matching 6-pin drive-by-wire pedal, harness and calibration first. Never force a connector or assume a lookalike adapter is correct.
Do I need a tune with a bigger LS throttle body?
Plan on one. A tune is required after installation for proper idle quality, drivability and throttle response, especially on modified or boosted engines.
Will a bigger throttle body add horsepower?
Only if the throttle body was the restriction. On an otherwise stock LS with a factory intake and heads, gains are usually small. They show up on combinations with a bigger cam, ported heads, a high-flow intake or boost. Granatelli Motor Sports does not quote a fixed horsepower number.
Can Granatelli LS throttle bodies handle boost?
Yes. Every Granatelli LS throttle body, billet or cast, from 103mm to 120mm, is rated for up to 35 psi of boost.
What warranty comes with a Granatelli throttle body?
90 days, with optional extended 1, 2 or 3 year coverage at checkout.
